A. LAC Issues
- Approval
of minutes from November 24, 2003 was approved as distributed.
- Library
materials budget resolution was reviewed and discussed.
Dr. Schwepker recommended a change be made by adding "yearly" in
the last paragraph after "with the average
6.525%". Was moved by Dr. Jurkowski and seconded by
Dr. Schwepker to accept resolution with the one change, motion
was approved. Dr. Schwepker will forward resolution
to Dr. David Aaberg, Faculty Senate University Budget Advisory
Committee Chair.

web page was reviewed and suggested changes to the web page.
Once changes have been made will have linked to the web
at http://library.ucmo.edu/news/

Dean’s Announcements
- Currently working on budgeting for FY05
- At
this time the Provost is holding off on the search for the
Dean of Library Services. Provost
wants to complete and fill vacancies for Dean for College of
Education and Human Services and after Higher Learning Commission
visit in March.
- Library
Services is currently working on filling two faculty positions - Assistant Professor of Library Services
and Electronic Services Library and Instructor in Library Services
and Business Librarian. Search committee are currently
reviewing applications and setting up phone interviews.
- Have
recently appointed library liaisons to the following departments,
because of faculty vacancies in Library Services - Department
of Legal Studies, Cheryl Riley; Department of Management and
Business Communication, Linda Medaris; Department of Accounting,
George Millen; Department of Economics and Finance, Les Lynam
- Working
to have outside/curbside book drop installed in the near future.
- Looking
at the feasibility of a refreshment area/café in
the library.
- Currently
looking at full-text technology. When
doing searches of our databases, that the search would give
you links to complete full-text data.
- Upcoming
36 th Annual Children's Literature Festival March 14-16, 2004. Distributed
brochure to LAC members.

adjourned at 9:47 a.m. Next meeting scheduled for February
23, 2004 at 9:00 a.m. in the Kirkpatrick Library Conference
Room 2233.
