LIBRARY SCIENCE AND INFORMATION SERVICES

 

The emphasis of the Library Science and Information Services program is the education of school library media specialists. The department offers two graduate degree programs which are accredited through the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education. The department also offers two undergraduate courses, one of which meets the requirements for the general studies program.

A total of 2,233 credit hours were generated by the department. This reflects a 17 percent increase over the previous year. Approximately 73 percent of those credit hours were generated at the undergraduate level to fulfill general studies requirements. Nine students completed graduate degrees.
