New Library Faculty

Fu Zhuo, Assistant Professor of Public Services, graduated from Wuhan University, China in 1986 with a B.A. in English Language and Literature. In 1993, he graduated from the University of Western Ontario, Canada with a Master of Education. In 1997, he earned an M.A. in Library and Information Science from the University of Alberta, Canada. He worked almost five years in the Brooklyn Public Library system in New York City before he joined the faculty of the James C. Kirkpatrick library and Central Missouri's community.

His responsibilities include collection development and bibliographic instruction for the departments of Agriculture and Safety Science & Technology. Among his research interests are library bibliographic instructional design and implementation, library searching skills, and reference services to diverse client groups.

Fu is married to Fali Gong with whom he has just had a lovely daughter, Yolanda, born this past Thanksgiving Day. A fan of NBA basketball, he also enjoys listening to classical music and going fishing.
